As a courtesy to our clients we request that mobile phones be on silent while in the salon and that if you must bring children into the salon that they are supervised at all times. At Sibu Beauty we appreciate a quiet and tranquil environment.

Welcome to Sibu Skin & Beauty! These Terms & Conditions outline what you can expect when booking and receiving treatments with us. By booking with us, you agree to these terms. We’re all about making sure your experience is positive and smooth, but these guidelines help keep everything running as it should!

appointment preparation

We want your experience to be as smooth and comfortable as possible, so please let us know ahead of time if you’re pregnant, have any allergies, or if there’s anything health-related we need to be aware of. This helps us make sure we’re providing the best treatment for you. You may be asked to complete or update a consultation form prior to your appointment, and that info is kept safe with us and used only to ensure your treatment is the right fit for you.

Clients provide informed consent prior to treatment. Therapists may adjust treatments where clinically appropriate to ensure safety or achieve the best outcome.

health & safety

Your health and safety are our top priority. Before any treatment, you may be required to complete a consultation or health questionnaire so we can identify any conditions, medications or circumstances that may impact the treatments we offer.

It is important that you inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, medications, pregnancy or recent treatments before each appointment. This allows us to tailor treatments appropriately and ensure your safety.

While we take great care in providing professional treatments and using quality products, every individual’s skin may react differently. If you experience any unexpected reaction following a treatment, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you.

We may decline, postpone or modify treatments where the information provided indicates that a service may not be safe or suitable.

Clients are responsible for ensuring the information they provide is accurate and up to date at each visit.

treatment results

We’re all about delivering the best results for you, and we use top-quality techniques and products to make that happen. However, because everyone’s skin is unique, results can vary depending on factors like your skin type, medical history, lifestyle, and how closely you follow your aftercare advice. While we aim to give you the best possible outcome, we can’t guarantee specific results, as your skin’s response may differ.

If we believe there’s a treatment better suited to your goals or that you may not achieve the results you’re hoping for with a particular treatment, we’ll always recommend an alternative option. We will always guide you toward the most appropriate treatment plan for your skin goals, concerns and long-term skin health.

skin reactions & liability

We are committed to offering high-quality, safe treatments, but sometimes skin can react unexpectedly. If this happens, please contact us immediately. We’ll do our best to help calm the skin and offer support.

We cannot cover the cost of any external treatments (like doctor’s visits or corrective products), unless the reaction is due to an error on our part, and prior payment arrangements have been made.

To help avoid unwanted reactions, please follow our aftercare advice carefully. If the reaction is due to not following the aftercare instructions or a pre-existing condition, we cannot be held responsible for additional costs or refunds.

cancellation & no-show policy

We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another client. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee. Failure to attend your appointment without notice will incur 100% of the treatment cost. Same-day cancellations or rescheduling, as well as no-shows, will incur the full treatment cost. If you were to use a gift voucher or loyalty points, they will be voided up to the value of the missed appointment. We know things come up, and we’ll always handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis.

Genuine emergencies:
We get that life can throw curveballs. We’re always happy to be understanding, but please note that exceptions are rare, and we’ll apply fees where necessary to ensure fairness to all.

bookings & payments

A deposit is required to secure your appointment. Any deposit paid will be applied towards your treatment on the day.

To make booking as simple as possible, we accept the following payment methods:

In Salon: Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Afterpay and Zip Pay

Online: Credit/Debit Card, Afterpay and Zip Pay

Clients who rebook their next appointment while in the clinic will not normally be required to pay an additional deposit, provided we already have their card details on file. If you choose not to rebook at the time of your appointment and book again later, a deposit may be required.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any changes or cancellations.

Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the scheduled treatment cost. Failure to attend your appointment without notice will incur a no-show fee equivalent to 100% of the scheduled treatment cost.

We understand that genuine emergencies happen and will always assess these on a case-by-case basis.

Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may reduce your treatment time while the full treatment fee still applies.

If you are booking for someone else, they will also be subject to these Terms & Conditions.

All deposits, cancellation fees and no-show fees are applied to protect appointment availability, support our team and ensure fairness to all clients.

refunds & adjustments

We take the time to ensure you’re happy with your treatment, so please let us know if something isn’t right before you leave, and we’ll do our best to fix it. If you have an issue with retention (e.g., lashes falling out or nails chipping), we may offer an adjustment appointment where clinically appropriate.

However, once a treatment is completed and you’ve left, we do not offer refunds. We encourage you to speak up if you’re not satisfied before we finish so we can make it right for you!

loyalty points

You earn loyalty points every time you visit us, and they can be used for a range of services—not just your usual treatments. Feel free to try something new! However, loyalty points cannot be used in conjunction with special offers, vouchers or discounts. Points do expire, and they will be void if you do not show up for your appointment.

gift vouchers

Our gift vouchers are valid until the expiry date specified and can't be redeemed or replaced after that date. They are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not exchangeable for cash. Vouchers can only be used for services and can't be combined with any other promotions or special offers. Each voucher is for one person’s use only.

We’re unable to replace or reimburse vouchers that are lost, stolen, or used fraudulently, so please keep them safe. If you’re unsure about the validity of a voucher, feel free to reach out before your appointment, and we’ll be happy to confirm.

memberships

Sibu Skin Memberships are recurring subscription services billed weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Membership payments are charged automatically in advance according to the selected billing schedule and contribute towards your personalised treatment plan and regular professional treatments.

Membership payments are processed securely through Stripe. By joining a membership, clients authorise recurring payments for the duration of their membership term.

Memberships are subject to the membership terms and minimum commitment agreed to at sign up.

Membership benefits, inclusions and eligibility may vary depending on the membership selected.

Membership payments are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

price changes

From time to time, we review our prices to ensure we can continue to provide exceptional service while keeping up with rising costs, wages and operating expenses. Updated pricing will apply from the effective date published by Sibu Skin & Beauty.

force majeure

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, government restrictions or other events beyond our reasonable control, we may need to cancel, postpone or reschedule appointments. We will do our best to accommodate clients, however we will not be liable for any inconvenience or losses arising from these circumstances.

privacy & data protection

We take your privacy seriously and are committed to ensuring your personal information is handled securely. Any personal information you provide will be stored securely and used only for the purpose of providing our services to you, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may use trusted third-party platforms and secure software providers to manage bookings, payments, client communication, treatment records and related business operations. These services are used to support the delivery of our services and improve your client experience. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes unless required by law or with your consent.

liability

While we always strive to deliver the highest standard of care and service, we cannot be held liable for any damages, losses or injuries arising from treatments unless caused by our negligence.

We are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings while you are visiting the salon.

For your safety, please inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, medications or changes to your health before each appointment. This information helps us tailor treatments appropriately and provide the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.

governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia and applicable consumer protection legislation.
