MelanoPro Pigment Skin Peel
MelanoPro Pigment Skin Peel
A professional two-phase peel program for persistent pigmentation, dark spots and uneven skin tone.
Powered by Dermalogica, MelanoPro combines an intensive in-clinic peel with prescribed homecare to progressively resurface the skin and reveal a brighter, smoother and more even-looking complexion.
Your MelanoPro Journey Begins With a Consultation
Pigmentation is complex. It may be influenced by sun exposure, inflammation, hormones, medication and the way your individual skin produces melanin. Treating it effectively begins with understanding what is contributing to yours.
A dedicated MelanoPro Consultation is required before treatment. The consultation is $199 because it allows for the additional therapist time and professional product required to assess your skin, complete the necessary patch testing and prepare a safe, appropriate treatment plan.
Your therapist will assess:
The type, depth and pattern of your pigmentation
Your skin condition, sensitivity and barrier health
Recent treatments, medications and skincare
Your sun exposure and lifestyle
Whether your skin requires preparation before treatment
Your ability to follow the required homecare and recovery plan
Whether MelanoPro is the right treatment for your skin

About MelanoPro
What Is the MelanoPro Peel System?
MelanoPro is a clinical-strength peel program developed by Dermalogica to visibly reduce hyperpigmentation, fade dark spots and improve uneven skin texture.
Unlike a standard facial peel, MelanoPro is completed in two connected phases. The first phase is professionally applied in the clinic. The second continues at home using your prescribed MelanoPro products for up to six weeks.
This structured approach allows the resurfacing and pigment-correction process to continue beyond your initial treatment.
MelanoPro May Help With
Sun spots and sun-related pigmentation
Melasma
Hormonal pigmentation
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Post-acne discolouration
Uneven skin tone
Dull or rough skin texture
Visible environmental skin damage
Skin that appears less bright or clear
Your therapist will assess the type, pattern and condition of your pigmentation before determining whether MelanoPro is suitable.
Your MelanoPro Pathway Includes
MelanoPro is a complete professional pathway—not simply one peel appointment.
Your pathway includes:
Dedicated MelanoPro Consultation
Professional skin and pigmentation analysis

Your three LED treatments are scheduled according to your skin’s response and recovery needs.
How MelanoPro Works
Phase One: In-Clinic Peel
Your skin is cleansed and prepared before the Day One Peeling Masque is professionally applied.
You may experience tingling, warmth or tightness while the masque is on your skin. Your therapist will monitor your initial response before you leave the clinic.
You will leave with the masque still applied and remove it at home at the exact time prescribed by your therapist. Your removal time is selected according to your skin tone, condition, sensitivity and response.
Do not leave the masque on longer than directed.
Phase Two: Prescribed Homecare
After removing the masque, you begin a structured homecare program using the products provided.
UltraCalming Mist supports the skin during the initial recovery period. Continuous Resurfacing Cream then continues the exfoliation and pigment-correction process for up to six weeks.
This homecare phase is an essential part of the treatment and must be completed exactly as prescribed.
Your MelanoPro Journey
1. Assess and Prepare
We assess your pigmentation, skin barrier, sensitivity, contributing factors and current skincare. Your skin may require preparation or stabilisation before treatment.
2. Treat the Pigmentation
The professional Day One Peeling Masque begins the intensive resurfacing process. Your prescribed homecare then continues working on pigmentation and uneven texture.
3. Support Recovery
Three LED Light Therapy treatments provide additional professional support during your recovery. Their timing is selected according to your skin’s response.
4. Protect and Maintain
Consistent sun protection, appropriate skincare and ongoing professional guidance help protect your results and reduce the triggers that can make pigmentation more visible again.
What to Expect
Treatment Day
The Day One Peeling Masque is applied in the clinic and remains on your skin when you leave.
Your therapist will provide an exact removal time and demonstrate how to remove the masque safely at home using cool or lukewarm water and gentle fingertip movements.
The skin may feel warm, tight or tingly while the masque is in place.
Peeling and Downtime
MelanoPro involves a genuine resurfacing and peeling process. It is not a no-downtime facial.
You may experience:
Days 1–2: Redness, pronounced tightness and sensitivity
Days 3–5: The strongest visible peeling and flaking
Days 6–7: Peeling generally begins to reduce
Days 8–15: Lighter peeling, dryness or sensitivity may continue
From approximately Day 15: Results become increasingly visible
Weeks 3–6: Progressive improvement in pigmentation, clarity and texture
We recommend planning for approximately seven days of noticeable downtime. Lighter peeling, dryness or sensitivity may continue for up to two weeks.
The intensity of peeling varies. Peeling more heavily does not necessarily produce a better result.
When MelanoPro Is Not Suitable
MelanoPro is not suitable for everyone.
Treatment cannot proceed where there is:
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Highly sensitive skin
Active rosacea, eczema or similar inflammatory skin conditions
Sunburn
Active cold sores
Open lesions or broken skin
Isotretinoin use within the previous six months
A history of diabetes
A tendency to form keloid scars
Injectables within the previous 14 days
An age under 18 years
An adverse response to the required patch test
This is not an exhaustive list. Final suitability is determined during your consultation and patch testing.
MelanoPro has been tested across a wide range of skin tones. Your therapist will still assess your individual skin, pigmentation and sensitivity before recommending treatment.
Your Results
As the six-week program progresses, the skin may appear:
Brighter and clearer
More even in tone
Smoother in texture
Fresher and more refined
Less visibly affected by dark spots
More luminous and balanced
Results vary according to the type and depth of pigmentation, skin condition, sun exposure and consistency with your prescribed homecare.
MelanoPro can visibly improve pigmentation, but complete or permanent removal cannot be guaranteed. Hormones, inflammation, heat and UV exposure may stimulate pigmentation again.
Before Your Treatment
Your therapist will provide personalised preparation instructions during your consultation.
Before MelanoPro, you will generally need to avoid:
Retinoids and vitamin A skincare for at least one week
Exfoliants, AHAs, BHAs and topical antibiotics for at least one week
Facial waxing, depilatory creams and electrolysis for at least five days
IPL and laser procedures for at least two weeks
Unprotected sun exposure and sunburn for at least two weeks
Introducing unfamiliar skincare products for at least two weeks
Injectables in the treatment area for at least 14 days
Do not stop prescribed medication without guidance from your prescribing practitioner. Tell your therapist about all medications, supplements, prescription skincare and recent procedures.
After Your Treatment
MelanoPro continues working for up to six weeks after your in-clinic peel. Carefully following your prescribed homecare, attending your three LED recovery treatments and protecting your skin from sun exposure are essential parts of the program.
Your therapist will provide your complete day-by-day instructions and monitor your skin throughout the initial peeling and recovery period.
Protecting Your Skin and Results
