Massage
Relaxation Massage at Sibu Skin and Beauty
Our massage treatments are designed to help you slow down, release everyday tension and enjoy dedicated time to relax.
Using professional massage techniques and Pure Fiji oils, each treatment is adapted to your comfort, preferred pressure and the areas where you are carrying the most tension.
Our massage services are focused on relaxation and wellbeing rather than remedial or injury-based treatment.
Massage Treatments
Back, Neck & Shoulders Massage
A focused relaxation massage for the areas where everyday tension commonly builds.
Your therapist will work across the back, neck and shoulders using pressure tailored to your comfort, helping ease muscular tension and create a sense of relaxation and release.
Ideal when you are short on time or primarily carry tension through the upper body.
Full Body Relaxation Massage
A full-body relaxation massage designed to help you switch off, unwind and enjoy a more complete treatment experience.
Using Pure Fiji oils and pressure tailored to your preference, your therapist will work across the body with a focus on comfort, relaxation and easing general muscular tension.
Treatment Enhancements
Enhancements are available with eligible treatments and are not designed to be booked as standalone services.
Body Polish
Add a Pure Fiji Body Polish to your treatment for smoother, softer skin.
A professional body exfoliation helps remove dry surface skin before nourishing Pure Fiji body products are applied, leaving the skin feeling refreshed, conditioned and smooth.
Relaxing Hair & Scalp Therapy
Extend your treatment with a relaxing scalp massage designed to ease tension through the scalp, neck and shoulders.
Pure Fiji nourishing oils are incorporated where appropriate to condition the hair and scalp while creating an additional period of deep relaxation.
Hot Stone Therapy
Add the warmth of heated basalt stones to your massage for an even more relaxing treatment experience.
The stones are incorporated into selected massage techniques to provide gentle, penetrating warmth and help ease areas of muscular tension.
What to Expect
Before your massage begins, your therapist will discuss your preferences, areas of tension and anything that may affect your treatment.
You can let us know:
which areas you would particularly like us to focus on
any areas you would prefer us to avoid
your preferred massage pressure
whether you would like adjustments for comfort, positioning or temperature
During your treatment, you will be appropriately draped at all times, with only the area being treated exposed.
Your comfort matters throughout the appointment. If you would like the pressure, positioning or temperature adjusted at any stage, please let your therapist know.
Before Your Treatment
Please let your therapist know before your massage if you:
are pregnant or think you may be pregnant
have recently had surgery, an injury or a medical procedure
are experiencing significant pain or unexplained symptoms
have a current medical condition that may affect massage
are taking medication that may affect bruising, circulation, sensation or skin integrity
have areas of broken, irritated or infected skin
have allergies or sensitivities to massage oils or skincare products
have experienced any significant change in your health since your previous appointment
You do not need to arrive with a particular concern. Massage can simply be booked when you want time to relax and unwind.
Contraindications & When We May Need to Postpone Treatment
Massage may need to be modified or postponed if treatment cannot be performed safely or comfortably.
Please contact us before your appointment if you have:
a fever, acute illness or contagious infection
significant inflammation or a recent acute injury
open wounds, active skin infection or contagious skin condition in the treatment area
recent surgery where massage has not yet been cleared
unexplained swelling, significant bruising or acute pain
a medical condition for which your doctor or health professional has advised against massage
Pregnancy does not automatically prevent massage, but treatment may need to be adapted according to the stage of pregnancy, your health and individual circumstances.
If we are unsure whether massage is appropriate, we may recommend postponing treatment or obtaining medical clearance before proceeding.
Aftercare
Most clients can return to normal activities after a relaxation massage.
As a general guide:
drink fluids normally according to your usual needs
allow yourself some time to relax after your appointment where possible
gentle movement can be helpful if you have been lying still for an extended period
mild temporary tenderness can occasionally occur in areas where you were carrying more tension
follow any individual advice provided by your therapist
Please contact Sibu Skin and Beauty if you experience an unusual or persistent reaction following your treatment.
For full treatment guidance, please see our Massage Aftercare information.
Your Questions, Answered
-
No.
Our massage treatments are designed for relaxation, general muscular tension and wellbeing. They are not remedial massage, physiotherapy or treatment for an injury or medical condition.
If you require diagnosis, rehabilitation or treatment of a musculoskeletal condition, an appropriately qualified health professional may be more suitable.
-
Choose Back, Neck & Shoulders Massage if you primarily want focused treatment through the upper body or prefer a shorter relaxation massage.
Choose Full Body Relaxation Massage if you would like a more complete treatment and longer period of relaxation.

Yes.
Your therapist will discuss your preference before treatment and can adjust the pressure during your massage.
Please let us know if anything feels too strong, too light or uncomfortable.
-
Pregnancy does not automatically mean you cannot have a massage at Sibu, but we do not offer specialist pregnancy massage.
Please let us know that you are pregnant when booking so your therapist can discuss your stage of pregnancy, general health and comfort before proceeding. Where appropriate, we can modify a relaxation massage using comfortable positioning and avoid areas or techniques that are not suitable.
If your pregnancy is high risk, you are experiencing complications or unusual symptoms, or you have been advised to restrict massage or other treatments, we may ask you to obtain clearance from your treating health professional before proceeding.
If you specifically require pregnancy massage or treatment for pregnancy-related pain or musculoskeletal concerns, we recommend seeing a therapist who is specifically trained in pregnancy massage.
-
Yes, where the enhancements are suitable for the treatment you have booked.
These enhancements require additional appointment time, so please add any you would like when booking rather than requesting them after your appointment has started.
-
We generally use Pure Fiji massage oils and body products, with other professional products used where appropriate or required.
If you have allergies, fragrance sensitivities or known product reactions, please let us know before treatment so we can select suitable products for you.
