LuminFusion
LuminFusion is an advanced resurfacing and rejuvenation treatment designed to improve skin texture, luminosity and overall skin quality.
Combining a targeted Retinol Peel, NanoInfusion and red LED light therapy, LuminFusion works across several aspects of skin ageing in one treatment. It is particularly suited to skin that is looking dull, uneven, rough or lacking vitality.
What is LuminFusion?
LuminFusion is a multi-step professional skin treatment that combines resurfacing and light-based technologies to support smoother, brighter and more refined skin.
Rather than targeting significant skin laxity or deeper structural ageing, LuminFusion focuses primarily on the surface quality of the skin — improving radiance, texture, tone and the appearance of fine lines.
It can be an excellent option when the goal is fresher, healthier-looking skin with minimal downtime.
How LuminFusion Works
LuminFusion combines three complementary technologies in one professional treatment: a targeted Retinol Peel, NanoInfusion and red LED light therapy.
Each stage has a different role, allowing the treatment to address radiance, texture, uneven tone and visible signs of ageing while remaining a minimal-downtime treatment.
Targeted Retinol Peel
The treatment begins with a professional retinol-based peel designed to provide controlled resurfacing and encourage skin renewal.
This stage helps improve the appearance of dullness, uneven texture, fine lines and uneven skin tone while preparing the skin for the next stage of treatment.
NanoInfusion
NanoInfusion is performed using the Dermalogica Pro Pen with a NanoInfusion tip.
Rather than using traditional microneedles, NanoInfusion uses very small cones that work at the skin's surface. This supports resurfacing and enhances the delivery of professional ingredients without creating the controlled micro-injuries used in Skin Needling.
This distinction is important: LuminFusion is not Skin Needling. NanoInfusion is selected when we want to improve surface texture, luminosity and overall skin quality without the deeper wound-healing response associated with microneedling.
Red LED Light Therapy
Red LED light therapy completes the treatment.
This stage supports the skin following resurfacing and NanoInfusion, helping to support recovery and overall skin health while complementing the rejuvenating focus of the treatment.
Together, the Retinol Peel, NanoInfusion and red LED provide a multi-step approach to improving skin radiance, texture, tone and visible signs of ageing.
LuminFusion is therefore particularly useful when we want to resurface and refresh the skin without moving into a deeper corrective treatment such as Skin Needling, RF Skin Tightening or HIFU.
What Can LuminFusion Help With?
Dullness and Loss of Radiance
LuminFusion removes surface build-up and supports skin renewal, helping tired or lacklustre skin appear fresher and more luminous.
Fine Lines
The combination of resurfacing and retinol-based renewal can help soften the appearance of superficial fine lines and improve overall skin smoothness.
Uneven Texture
By targeting accumulated surface cells and supporting renewal, LuminFusion can help refine rough or uneven skin texture.
Uneven Skin Tone
LuminFusion can help improve the appearance of mild unevenness and leave the complexion looking clearer and more balanced.
Early Signs of Skin Ageing
For clients noticing changes in radiance, texture and fine lines, LuminFusion provides a multi-step approach to improving overall skin quality.
LuminFusion at Sibu Skin and Beauty Canberra
At Sibu Skin and Beauty, LuminFusion is used when resurfacing and skin renewal are appropriate for your individual skin.
Your therapist will assess your skin, current skincare, treatment history and goals before treatment and adapt the treatment where required.
For clients concerned with healthy ageing, LuminFusion may form part of a broader treatment plan alongside treatments that target deeper collagen remodelling or skin firmness.
Results and Recovery
Skin may appear smoother, brighter and more radiant following treatment, with improvements in texture and overall skin quality developing as the skin renews.
Some clients may experience temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity, dryness or light flaking following treatment.
Because LuminFusion includes professional resurfacing and retinol-based renewal, appropriate aftercare and daily sun protection are important following treatment.
Is LuminFusion Right for Me?
LuminFusion may be suitable if you are concerned with:
Dull or lacklustre skin
Uneven or rough texture
Fine lines
Mild uneven skin tone
Early visible signs of ageing
Loss of overall skin radiance
If your primary concern is significant skin laxity, deeper wrinkles or loss of facial firmness, another treatment such as HIFU, Radiofrequency Skin Tightening or Skin Needling may be more appropriate.
Contraindications & Cautions – LuminFusion
LuminFusion is not suitable for every client or skin condition.
Treatment may need to be modified, postponed or may not be appropriate depending on factors including active irritation or compromised skin, recent significant sun exposure, certain medications or skincare ingredients, pregnancy, recent resurfacing procedures, and other medical or treatment-related contraindications.
Please provide your therapist with an accurate medical history and details of your current medications, supplements and skincare products before treatment.
Your individual suitability will be assessed before treatment.
